Overview

Tinwald School has:

• Ten teachers
• A part–time ICT teacher
• Five learning support teacher aides
• A part-time librarian
• School secretary
• Caretaker

Modernisation

The school has been involved in a school-wide modernisation programme. The latest classroom modernisation of the senior block took place during 2009.

Population

The school population is predominantly of New Zealand European background, with a small population of Maori children. A small number of children travel to school by bus, but the majority are from the immediate Tinwald community.

Resources

The school has excellent resources and a well-stocked library. Each class has at least two computers and there have been significant recent efforts to upgrade software, along with the opening of the new ICT suite (15 computers). Click here for more.
